Studio Owners - what happens if my instructor leaves my employment before completing the course?

Studios cannot retain an instructor’s certification if they leave. Any financial protection or repayment arrangements need to be agreed upon directly with the instructor before training begins.

Barre Body values the relationships we have with our studio partners, and we appreciate how much goes into supporting and developing your instructors.

While we understand that studios often organise and pay for their instructors' training, all Barre Body enrolments and certifications are linked to the individual instructor named on the enrolment, even where the studio's email address has been used.

This means that their training and certification remain with them, regardless of any changes to their employment.

We also understand that studios may have their own sponsorship or employment agreements in place, however, any financial or employment arrangements do need to remain between the studio and instructor.

We know this may not be the outcome you were hoping for, and we genuinely appreciate your understanding of the position we're in as the training provider.

To help our studio partners with these situations moving forward, we have created this Instructor Training Support Agreement, which you're more than welcome to use with any future sponsored instructors. This helps outline financial contributions, repayment arrangements and any agreed employment commitments from the beginning, so everyone has a clear understanding of their responsibilities.
