What are CECs/CPD points?

Great question - they can get a little confusing!

One of the main accrediting organisations in Australia, AUSActive, has a wonderful explainer about CPD points on their website, which you can find here.

Generally speaking, if you are already a registered member of an organisation (as a personal trainer or group fitness instructor with a Certificate 3 or 4 in Fitness), you will need to maintain your registration by gaining a certain number or CECs (Continued Education Credits) or CPD points (Continuous Professional Development points) every 1-2 years.

These credits/points are gained by undertaking and successfully completing courses that are approved CEC/CPD courses. You can see which of our courses are currently approved for CPD points with AUSActive here and the full list of our course accreditations here. This list includes both Australian and various international accreditations.
