What are my Observation/Participation/Practice teaching Hours?

You need to log the below hours for your course: Observation (10hrs)  Participation (30hrs) and Practice teaching (30hrs)

Observation hours - you observing class and writing down notes. These are hugely beneficial for you to pick up on different sequences, verbal cues and flow of a class.

Participation hours - you physically participating in a class. These hours are important for you to understand where exercises target different muscles, how many repetitions of each layer feel good and what feels good on your own body.

Practice teaching hours - you practice teaching on at least 1 participant. This can be a friend or family member and can be done anywhere (depending on the course you are doing) - in your own home, outdoors or in a studio space. We recommend these hours being full length classes to best practice for your assessment video and for taking real life classes. You can definitely start with 20-30 minute classes and work your way up to longer sessions (45-60 mins). We also recommend practice teaching on as many different people as you can, so that you can get used to having lots of different bodies in your class.
