What do Practical Hours consist of?

As part of your teaching certification, you will need to complete observation, participation and practice teaching hours to help develop your skills, solidify your new knowledge and practice.

If you are doing the in-person training, you must wait until the first day of training to start recording these hours. If you are doing the online training, you can start logging from the first day you begin study!

What are they?

• Observation hours is you "watching" a class.

• Participation hours is you participating in a group class or "doing" it as a client.

• Practice teaching hours is you teaching to a family member, friend or group. This can be done at home - it doesn't need to be in a studio environment.

   

Things to Note:

• ALL observation, participation and practice teaching hours can be started once you commence your in-person or online training, so you can use your newly learned knowledge to observe and dissect classes, and practice of course!

• Classes you have attended before your enrolment date cannot to be included.

• Please note, these hours are not the number of classes but hours.

• If you choose to watch, participate or teach shorter classes, you will still need to make up the total amount of hours.

• All observation, participation and practice teaching hours must be taught in the style you are studying - no hybrid classes.
